Libris Solar features three audio tracks plus the short film The Faerie Queene and
a series of images from Birren's notebook.

Freya Birren lives in County Mayo, Ireland, she’s a marine biologist, originally Scandinavian.
Her music is for voice, guitar, auto harp, trumpet and violin. She is a member of the sound art collective Grúpat.

The Grúpat collective's innovative and experimental spread of approaches to sound, have included
sound installations by O’Brien Industries, Bulletin M and The Parks Service; silent musical film
and self-built instruments by Turf Boon; graphic scores by Flor Hartigan and Ukeoirn O’Connor;
sonic reliquaries by outsider artist Violetta Mahon and the sonic flaneur costumes of
drag artist The Dowager Marchylove.
