Memorialising the Sacred is a special edition CD by artists Anthony Kelly & David Stalling featuring sound recordings made during trips from to the Sfakiá region, Crete, during 2015 - 2016. The hour-long audio composition of nature, people and the elements is interspersed with short descriptive passages by Greek culture expert Paddy Sammon and the packaging features black and white images by curator and photographer Seán McCrum.
This special edition of 300 copies is published by Farpoint Recordings in association with the Irish Architectural Archive and the Classical Museum, University College, Dublin.
A book and CD titled ‘Memorialising the Sacred, sound and architecture defining the landscape’ was published on the occasion of the exhibition at The Gallery, Irish Architectural Archive, 45 Merrion Square, Dublin 2, 23 January - 29 March 2018.
